The Democrats have been touting the charge in recent days that bush was "AWOL" during his guard duty as a young man. The man who's statement they base that on has softened his earlier statements saying he didn't know if Bush did or didn't report, and that those in guard duty are allowed to miss duty, as long as they make it up.
